ABOUT THE WORK
Commissioned in 2008 by Eric Hannan, this work was first premiere by the Vancouver Cantata Singers at their annual holiday concert A Christmas Reprise. The group went on to win "Best Performance of a Canadian Work" at the (then titled) CBC National Competition for amateur choirs and won first place in the chamber choir category and was also awarded the competition's Healey Willan Grand Prize for their excellent in performance, style and programming.
